How many units of Botox do I need?
It depends on the area and your muscle strength. Typical ranges are 10 to 20 units for forehead lines, 15 to 25 units for the frown lines between the brows, 20 to 30 units for crow's feet on both sides and 4 to 8 units for a lip flip. Your injector confirms the count after watching how your face moves, and you approve it before treatment.
Will Botox make me look frozen?
Not when it is dosed well. A frozen look comes from too much product in the wrong pattern, so we start conservative: soften the lines, keep the expression. You should still raise your brows and smile like yourself, and adding a few units later is always easier than taking movement back.
Can Botox help with jaw clenching or TMJ symptoms?
Masseter Botox relaxes the large chewing muscles behind clenching and grinding. Over several weeks many patients notice less jaw tension and a gradually softer, narrower jawline, typically with 40 to 60 units across both sides. It is not a cure for TMJ disorders and not everyone is a candidate, so your muscles and symptoms are assessed in person first.
