Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
The IPL laser can be used for a myriad of different treatments including
photo-rejuvenation, rosacea, removal and reduction of vascular (broken capillaries/spider veins) and pigmented lesion (sun spots/freckles), fine lines, reduction of active acne and hair removal. The treatments are non-ablative and gentle by nature. The IPL laser performance provides efficacy and versatility leaving patients with healthy and more youthful skin. Most patients require 3-6 treatments, 1 month apart.
How it works
The IPL laser includes 4 broad band filters. Various cutoff filters are placed in front of the light-source to filter the undesired frequencies and allow the desired wavelength to target specific structures and chromophores in the skin. The IPL laser destroys the primary target (vessel, pigment or hair) by heating it to a high enough temperature without damaging the surrounding tissue.
